After the resounding success with Arlington courts oven I have been asked by a few visitors on the day whether I run Earth oven building courses.

Not something I thought would attract too many people however I did promise that if we could find a minimum of 6 people then we can run a one day course that will cover all you need to know on the basics of building an earth oven. So you can return home and start your own project in the back garden.

The course will run for one day and cover all the essential skills and tricks you need to build your own oven Topics we will cover through the day include

  1. Design and location
  2. Sourcing tools and materials (where to buy or find it for free)
  3. Constructing the foundations
  4. Mixing and testing the clay mix
  5. building the oven
  6. prepping and firing the oven
  7. Cooking

The course would be run in the grounds of Arlington Court, be suitable for all ages (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult) and finish with a tasting session of a variety of earth oven baked goodies.
