These seeds are great for adding a flavour to stocks stews, soups and as I did recently to flavour rice. I just added a tablespoon of seeds to the water along with the rice and cooked as normal.
The flavour is said to be similar to Myrh for those of you that have tried it, however if that is the same as most wild food "coffee" substitutes then the only sure way to know is by taste testing them together.
WARNING
Please be careful when harvesting that you have made a 100% positive identification of this plant as it is of the umbelifer family some of which are considered to be fatally toxic so not worth getting mixed up.
If you cannot make a positive ID leave well alone and watch the plant through the seasons till you are sure of its name
